Digipak Research

Digipaks are usualy seen on limited edition or specialist CD's for example music albums and multi-disc sets. Digipaks are pretty important because they raise awareness for the artist. The pictures used in the digipak give the audience a feel for what the music is like. There are two different types of digipaks that artist may use for their music either a four panel or a six panel.

I have been looking for digipaks made by artists in the genre my song falls into, however it seems neither my artist or other artists have made digipaks, so I looked for front covers instead to get different ideas to use for my own

digipak.                                                               

i have found two different CD covers, on the left is by Nero and the right is by Netsky. They're pretty different in appearance but are both able to promote the artist. For example with Nero's CD cover his name is large and quite bold, this will draw the attention of people browsing through music in a store for example. The picture in the background is also quite interesting and will possibly increase interest in the artist.  However with Netsky's cover its a bit more simple with a picture of himself, which will possibly make audiences wonder what he's all about.
