My Photoshop Experience

Before making my digipak I had limited knowldege of how to use photoshop. So I watched a number of tutorials so I would be able to create the effects my partner and I had designed in our original plan. We encountered a problem when trying to make both the front and the back cover. This is because for both sides it was supposed to be text with a black background, however when trying to make both of these sides on photoshop we had difficulty making them look good and interesting. To solve this problem we decided to make a different design for both the front and the back, but still trying to produce the same affect. Making the Frame for the CD compartment was quite straight forward and simple, the gritty effect that we wanted came out looking quite good so we were happy. To make the frame with the skates it was just as straight forward, this time we didn't need a tutorial to to make the affect. We were able to mke it by looking through the different editting tools to see what looked good and what didn't. Making the frame with me on my skates was pretty difficult because we couldn't figure out how to do and we were unable to find a tutorial to help us. After a while I was able to figure it out using the magic wand tool. The frame with my friend on his bike overlayering the map was pretty easy to make, by putting one picture over the other and decreasing the opacity.
